WILD GOOSE PATTERN CRICKET JAR. <br>Height:12cm (4.72in) , Diameter:17.8cm (7.01in) Imperial cricket jar of Xuande reign, stout cylindrical body with matching cover. The exterior painted with continuous scene of wild geese among reeds. Water?bank rocks, luxuriant reeds and foliage set the landscape; geese stand on shore or spread wings in flight with vivid postures. Underglaze?blue renders rocks and aquatic plants, overglaze iron?red, green and brown enamels decorate feathers, reed flowers and vegetation, yielding a lively rich palette. Lid is similarly decorated with geese?and?reed design harmonizing with jar body. White?glazed base bears six?character underglaze?blue mark ??Da Ming Xuan De Nian Zhi??.
