This vintage German Black Forest cuckoo clock is a “Kaiser Walzer” (Emperor Waltz) musical model featuring a charming half-timbered cottage design with carved wooden details. A particularly desirable feature of this clock is the small hand-painted wooden figurines, including the dancing couple positioned on the balcony. Traditional carved figures and decorative elements surround the clock face, adding to its distinctive Black Forest character. The clock features a Roman numeral dial with wooden hands, carved wooden pinecone-style weights, and a pendulum. The musical mechanism is designed to accompany the cuckoo function and animated figures, with the dancers typically revolving when the musical sequence is activated. Condition: Shows age-related wear consistent with a vintage/antique clock, including dust, finish wear, discoloration, and minor imperfections to the carved and painted wooden components.
