R. J. Horner & Co. oval oak library table — New York, circa 1900 Large oval table in oak and figured oak veneer. Raised on six cylindrical columnar supports above a conforming platform shelf and carved foliate base terminating in boldly carved animal-form and hairy-paw feet. Retains a partial R. J. Horner & Co. paper label. Condition: Considerable surface haze, staining, scratches, and finish wear to the top. Scattered veneer and molding losses, particularly along the top edge and central base; abrasions and losses to the carved feet. Manufacturer’s label is torn and incomplete.
