Yosai Nobukazu (Japanese, 1872-1944) woodblock print, Meiji Period, circa 1894, war scene depicting the First Sino-Japanese War with a battle taking place between the Japanese and Qing Dynasty at a fortification, calligraphic inscription along the top and signed to the lower right, matted behind glass in simple wooden frame. With expected signs of age including toning to paper, wear to ink along the top calligraphy, wave to paper, scratches to frame. Overall measures 19" h. x 14" w.; ss: 13 1/2" h. x 8 3/4" w;.
