Avon Milk Glass Rooster Hand Lotion Bottle

Avon figural milk glass bottle molded as a rooster, the white body with sculpted tail and wing feathers and a bright red painted plastic head and comb that lifts off to reveal a white ribbed screw cap. The paper label on the base reads Avon Moisturized Hand Lotion 6 FL. OZ., Avon Products Inc, N.Y., N.Y. 10019, with a lot code stamped across it. Avon sold huge numbers of these figural containers through its representatives from the 1960s into the 1980s, and the milk glass animal bottles are among the most decorative, easy to display on a kitchen shelf or windowsill. Condition is very good. The milk glass is bright with no chips or cracks seen, the painted head is glossy with only light rubs, and the base label is yellowed and lightly stained but still fully readable.
