Heavy cast metal figure of a late 1940s or early 1950s style sedan, about 8 inches long and 4 inches tall against the ruler, with molded grille, headlights, bumpers and four wheels. Two details show this was made as a container rather than as a solid figure or a rolling toy: the roof carries a hexagonal threaded fitting with a small opening, and the round spare-tire form at the rear is open and threaded like a filler spout. The front bumper carries a molded license plate reading 1960; the consignor listing gave this as 1950, which the photos do not support. No maker or foundry mark is visible on the underside. The surface is heavily weathered with rust-colored oxidation, pitting and traces of old paint, and the orange corrosion indicates a ferrous metal rather than aluminum. Condition is fair, consistent with long outdoor or unheated storage. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
