This lot features a two-piece porcelain night water set, also known as a tumble-up, consisting of a small carafe and a matching drinking cup designed to sit inverted over the neck. The set is decorated with hand-painted floral sprays in shades of orange, purple, and yellow with green foliage on a white ground. The base of the carafe is marked with a red backstamp featuring a crowned shield with a castle, inscribed Porcelaine Limoges Castel France. Also included is a pair of earthenware ashtrays of triangular form, each with three cigarette notches. The interior displays a mint green glaze with a metallic copper-toned drip or lava effect, while the edges and underside are finished in a dark glaze. The bases are impressed with the mark West Germany and the model number 327. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Assembled night water set height approx. 7.5 inches Ashtray width approx. 4.5 inches. Condition: The porcelain night water set appears to be in excellent condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. The art pottery ashtrays are in good vintage condition, exhibiting minor surface wear and typical thinning to the metallic luster highlights consistent with age and intended use.
