A pair of bicolour stone figurines, each depicting a stylised female figure in a prayerful posture. These pieces are characteristic of Russian mineral carvings often crafted from satin spar selenite. Each figure is composed of two joined stone elements: a white, fibrous upper body with a faceless head wearing a peaked cap and hands clasped together, set into a translucent honey-toned lower section forming a flared gown. The carvings feature a minimalist, smooth form with a polished finish. The bases are integral to the lower stone sections and exhibit flat, slightly textured undersides. Height approx. 10.7 cm. Condition: Both figurines exhibit minor surface scratches and small abrasions. Small chips are present along the lower edges of the bases. There is light accumulation of surface grime within the recessed areas of the white stone carvings.
