This collection consists of three glazed porcelain figurines produced by Rex in Valencia, Spain. The figures depict rural life, characterized by a mid-20th-century Spanish aesthetic. The decoration employs a palette of earth tones—brown, tan, and deep blue—against a white porcelain body. The set includes a woman carrying a large vessel on her shoulder, a woman wearing a headscarf and shawl, and a young boy in a hat carrying a bundle of foliage. The underside of the largest figure displays an underglaze blue factory mark featuring a crown logo above REX, VALENCIA, and Hand Made In Spain. Incised markings include Ohl 1940, and the base also bears a handwritten black ink code 186-s. Height of tallest figure approx. 11.5 inches (measured against a ruler). Condition: The glazed surfaces show fine crazing, most prominent on the bases and lower garments. No visible chips, cracks, or evidence of restoration.
