This lot includes two candle snuffers with differing constructions and materials. The first snuffer features a bell-shaped brass cup with vertical linear incisions attached to a swiveling hinge. The cup is mounted to a brass ferrule that transitions into a turned, dark-toned wooden handle. The second snuffer is made of a silver-toned metal, featuring a cone-shaped cup on a swiveling hinge and a slender metal rod handle. The handle terminates in a textured, ribbed grip with a circular aperture at the end for hanging. Condition: Both snuffers are in good vintage condition with visible oxidation and tarnish on the metal surfaces. Soot residue is present inside the cups. The swiveling mechanisms are functional.
