A pair of rectangular melamine serving trays produced by Melbel in Italy. Each tray features a reproduction of Pierre-Auguste Renoir’s 1869 Impressionist painting La Grenouillère, depicting figures on a small island on the River Seine. The items have a matte, textured finish on the decorated surface and a plain white underside. The artist name RENOIR is printed in the lower right corner, and a vertical copyright inscription reading © BY SPADEM - PARIS melbel appears along the right edge. The base is embossed with a circular Melbel mark, the code V 18, and MADE IN ITALY. Approximate dimensions (measured against a ruler, only inches shown): L 40 cm x W 29.8 cm. Condition: Fair to good condition. The trays show moderate wear consistent with age, including surface scuffs, fine scratches, and minor staining on both the decorated surfaces and the undersides. One tray has visible stress cracking or crazing at one corner that extends through the rim.
