This pair of glazed porcelain figurines depicts waxwing birds rendered in a stylized, rounded form. Each bird features the species characteristic crest and facial mask. The plumage is finished in a palette of grey, brown, and tan glazes, with hand-painted white and orange accents detailing the wings and tail feathers. The underside of one figurine displays a red overglaze backstamp for the Leningrad Porcelain Factory (LFZ), historically known as the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory. The mark includes the factory monogram and the text MADE IN USSR, signifying production for the export market during the Soviet era. Dimensions: Height approx. 10.8 cm (measured from visible tape measure in inches). Condition: The figurines are in good condition, free of visible chips, cracks, or restoration. A small dark inclusion or mark is present on the underside rim of one figurine.
