A pair of small animal figurines including an elephant and an owl, carved from a mottled brownish-gray stone featuring natural banding and dark inclusions. The elephant is depicted in a standing posture with its trunk lowered, featuring simplified anatomical details and incised eyes. The owl is rendered in a compact, rounded form with large, deeply incised eyes and a small beak, with the stone's natural grain following the contours of the body. Both items are finished with flat-ground bases. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Elephant length approx. 6.4 cm; Owl width approx. 5.7 cm (note: ruler indicates inches only). Condition: Both sculptures show minor surface wear and small natural pits throughout the stone. A small white surface mark is visible on the brow of the owl figure. No structural cracks or significant losses are visible.
