A circular vanity or trinket box crafted from genuine hand-carved Italian alabaster. The piece features a domed lid secured by a hinged gilt-metal rim. The lid is decorated with a transfer-printed floral spray featuring pink and yellow roses, blue forget-me-nots, and purple wildflowers, set against the naturally marbled, cream-coloured stone. The base retains an original rectangular paper label with a blue border. Transcription of label: GENUINE ALABASTER HAND CARVED MADE IN ITALY Dimensions measured from a visible tape measure: Diameter approx. 10 cm Height approx. 5 cm. Condition: The item is in good overall condition. The alabaster body and lid are free of significant chips or cracks. The gilt-metal rim exhibits some surface oxidation and tarnishing consistent with age, particularly around the hinge mechanism. The floral decoration remains clear and well-preserved.
