Ruger M77 Bolt-Action Rifle, .30-06 Springfield Well-kept Ruger M77 bolt-action rifle chambered in the venerable .30-06 Springfield, roll-marked "Before Using Gun — Read Warnings in Instruction Manual Available From Sturm, Ruger & Co. Inc., Southport, Conn. U.S.A." on the barrel, with ".30/06" caliber designation stamped ahead of the receiver and "Ruger M77" with individual serial number stamped on the receiver ring. The action features Ruger's classic controlled-round-feed bolt with Mauser-style claw extractor, a smooth three-position tang safety, and a hinged floorplate — the same rugged M77 platform that built Ruger's reputation with hunters and collectors alike. This example wears the factory round-top receiver, drilled and tapped and ready to mount a scope, giving it a clean, streamlined profile from muzzle to buttstock. The walnut stock shows nice grain and is dressed with crisp point-pattern diamond checkering at the pistol grip and forend, a black forend tip, and a red rubber recoil pad set off with a black spacer line for a classic, finished look. Metal finish on the barrel and action is deep, glossy, and shows only light handling marks, while the stock retains a good original finish with no notable dings or cracks. A solid, all-original M77 in a do-it-all cartridge — an easy rifle to top with glass and take hunting, and an equally easy one for Ruger collectors to add to the safe.
