A beautiful pair of original oil paintings on canvas by regional Southwestern artist Doug Candelaria (Pueblo, Colorado). Known for his expressive brushwork and rich color palettes capturing Native American life. "Navajo Man" Portrait (8" x 10"):Striking portrait of a man wearing a red headband, turquoise earring, and yellow shirt. Titled and artist-inscribed on the canvas reverse. Hand-signed lower right. Navajo Horseman & Herd Scene (12" x 12"): Scenic landscape depicting a rider onhorseback watching over a sheep herd beneath a soft Southwestern sky. Hand-signed lower right. Excellent original condition. Canvases are tight with no tears, holes, or heavy paint loss.
