Artist Biography Marty Levenson (b. 1953) is an American-born artist and printmaker associated with Vancouver and British Columbia. A museum collection record identifies him as American, born in 1953, and documents his work in monotype; his Elliot's Field #30 (1990), a monotype with chine collé, entered the Cleveland Museum of Art collection in 1999. Levenson studied photography and ceramics at Franconia College in New Hampshire and later printmaking at Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver. He pursued an active career creating and exhibiting monoprints internationally during the 1980s and 1990s. The Government of Canada's Artists in Canada database also records Marty Levenson, and a Canada Council publication lists him as a Vancouver artist. Levenson later shifted much of his professional focus toward art therapy and photography, while continuing his involvement with visual art and printmaking on Bowen Island, British Columbia.
