Arch., M.R.A.I.C., Artist Biography:Istvan Lendvay (1929–2008) was a Hungarian-born Canadian painter and architect who emigrated to Canada following the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. While establishing a successful architectural practice in Ontario, he maintained an active career as a painter, producing atmospheric landscapes and abstract compositions inspired by the Canadian environment. His works have been exhibited throughout Canada and are represented in numerous private and corporate collections. Lendvay is particularly admired for his textured palette-knife technique and restrained, harmonious colour palette. Condition: Painting will need cleaning and new frame.
