Artist Biography: Born in Birmingham, England, Ray Cattell immigrated to Canada in 1954 and became one of Canada's foremost abstract painters. A member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA), the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA), and the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC), he was celebrated for his lyrical "Abstract Landscape Colourfield" paintings and exhibited extensively throughout Canada and internationally. His works are represented in numerous public and corporate collections.
