Tempera on paper Monogrammed lower right: "JOS." Sight: 17 x 21 in. (43.2 × 53.3 cm) Presented under mat and glass in a wood frame. A bright and picturesque rural landscape depicting harvested grain sheaves set against rolling hills and distant mountains, with a small church and village nestled on the horizon. Executed in tempera with opaque, luminous colour, the composition conveys the warmth of late summer through expressive brushwork and a harmonious palette of greens, golds, and soft blue-grey mountains. An original label affixed to the reverse identifies the work as "Erntezeit" (Harvest Time), described as an original tempera by J. Otto Scheverl. The composition is further monogrammed "JOS" at the lower right, corresponding with the attributed artist.
