Mike Borrett (b. 1960) Madison, WI, 2012 9.75" tall Contentedly resting woodcock mounted on a chip-carved base. Bold feather paint with deeply relief-carved wings sweeping rearward before gracefully settling into the lower back. The tail feathers are similarly carved in relief. The turned head is slightly raised, with a distinctive squinted, upward-looking eye and carefully carved bill. Signed and dated 2012 on the underside of both the bird and base.Condition: Excellent and original
