Anonymous American potters, kitchen and pantry storage, circa 1890. This set features two utility crocks with a Bristol glaze and tapered cylindrical bodies. First appearing in domestic settings for pickling and preservation, these vesselsshowcase a clean utilitarian aesthetic. They represent a significant matching group from the late nineteenth-century folk pottery tradition. Each measures 7.5 inches tall.These items are of age but in good condition for the age. White glaze character is present with rim nicks (photo 2). Rims are crisp for their historical age and bases are solid (photo 5).
