This pair of late 19th-century American utility stoneware shoulder jugs features classic two-tone Albany and Bristol glazing. The graduated set showcases traditional wheel-turned forms with applied loop handles and unglazed bases. Theserustic farmhouse vessels represent standard production from the turn of the century, serving as functional storage for spirits or vinegar. Tallest measures at approximately 13.5 inches.These vessels show rich glazed character with expected shelf wear. The larger jug has a shoulder fissure and hairline cracks (photo 3); the smaller retains bold color with a minor rim chip (photo 4).
