R Serial # 175294. .22 LR caliber double action solid frame revolver with a 6” round barrel. The bore excellent, mostly clean with strong rifling and some light fouling. 9 shot cylinder. First Model, 4th variation made in 1938-1939. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in very good to excellent condition showing light muzzle wear with some very light freckling. The blued metal finish on the fluted cylinder is in good condition showing edge wear and thinning. The blued metal finish on the frame is in very good condition showing light edge wear with some very light freckling. The front grip strap has a patch of wear at the S/N which has turned brown. The checkered walnut grip is in generally very good condition showing light wear, there is a carved symbol on the butt. The action seems to work fine. The First Model was made from 1927-1952 with the 4th Variation made from 1938-1939 only. C&R.
