Serial # NSN. Large caliber percussion fired blunderbuss with an 16” iron barrel with a 1-7/8” muzzle. The bore is rusty. The metal finish on the barrel has been cleaned and shows heavy remnant pitting with older cleaned rust. There are no markings visible. The lock plate and hammer have been cleaned showing remnant pitting, there are no markings visible. The checkered walnut stock with a small clamshell patch box is in fair condition showing dings and scratches with finish wear. There is a large crack through the forearm and a small crack at the upper tang. The steel trigger guard and butt plate have been cleaned and show pitting and older cleaned rust. The action does not work. Includes a steel ramrod.
