Serial # NSN. Large caliber percussion fired blunderbuss with an 11” iron/brass barrel with a 1-3/4” muzzle. The iron portion is approx. 7” long with the belled muzzle portion being brass. The bore is rusty. The metal finish on the barrel is worn to bare metal showing dings, remnant pitting and older cleaned surface rust. Crown/GR proofs visible. The lock plate and hammer have been polished bright, there are no markings visible. The hammer looks like it has been repaired. The plain walnut stock is in good condition showing dings and scratches with finish wear. “WS” is tamped on the left side. Brass trigger guard and side plate. The action works, but is very stiff. The nipple is battered. Includes a steel ramrod.
