Acme Fabric & Metal Adjustable Dress Form

An Acme adjustable dress form, size A, featuring a multi-segmented torso covered in a gray and blue mottled jersey fabric. The form is supported by a height-adjustable metal pole resting on a four-legged cast metal base. An internal mechanism of metal sliders and wing nuts allows for the adjustment of bust, waist, and hip measurements. A blue oval adhesive label on the upper chest reads Acme ADJUSTABLE DRESS FORM L&M ADJUSTABLE FORM CO BROOKLYN 21, N Y SIZE A. The neck features a chrome-finished metal cap and a segmented metal collar.The dress form is in fair vintage condition. Significant rust and oxidation are present on the internal metal frame and the neck plate. The fabric covering shows age-related staining and brown spotting throughout the torso. The manufacturer's paper label has a partial tear on the left side. The metal base and central pole exhibit general surface wear and light oxidation consistent with mid-century age and use.
