Excellent selection of a Steel King amp, produced by Fender. Produced in the 2000s, the Fender Steel King is a high-powered, solid-state combo amplifier, specifically designed to meet the unique demands of pedal steel guitar players. It is celebrated for providing massive clean headroom and a “glassy” tone that remains articulate even at extreme volumes. The amp delivers 200 Watts to 4 Ohms, ensuring a loud and distortion-free signal. On the interior is a single 15” Fender Custom Speaker, designed to deliver rich low-end and sparkling highs. The amp is tailored specifically for clean tone shaping and also the unit includes a genuine spring reverb and a limiter to prevent unwanted clipping. While engineered for pedal steel, it is also highly regarded by jazz guitarists and clean-focused players who require a robust pedal platform. Amp approx. weights 60-70 libs but is set upon wheels for rolling mobility. Amp appears to be in great shape based upon general overview and confirmed does turn on when plugged in.
