Vintage P.E.O. World Champion Miniature Baseball trade stimulator. This is a 1¢ countertop baseball game from around 1931. Has a cast metal front cover with a wood cabinet. Cabinet looks to be a new replacement like original. Features a spiral playfield and a scoreboard marquee displaying baseball players. Put in a penny to release the metal balls. Use the metal lever baseball bat to hit the balls. Hitting the ball as hard as you can will spiral all the way to an “Out”. Hitting the ball to softly will result in a spiral to a “Sacrifice”. Swings In between those will score you a First Base, Second Base, Third Base or Home Run. Tested with a penny and appears to be in working order. Challenging and fun to play. Comes with lock and key to lift up front to access coins. In overall very good used condition. Measures 16.5” tall, 10.5” wide and 7.5” deep. *** Trade stimulators were used by businesses to stimulate business. They were countertop machines used to encourage shoppers to indulge in a game of chance. These little machines originated around the same time as slot machines. When certain states prohibited gambling, business owners could use these machines without fear of prosecution.
