Excellent selection of a highly valuable, authentic vintage mid-20th century Rémy Martin Grande Champagne Cognac, perfect for any collector. Of an older age, these are historically bottled under the designation “Very Old, Age Unknown.” Based on the distinction of the bottle and how details are printed, it appears that this from the 1950s or 1960s. It is especially unique as this bottle predates the modern “Louis XIII” branding which would come about in the 1960s. Instead having “Grande Champagne Very Old – Age Unknown” pays homage to the very first bottles blended by Paul-Emile Remy Martin in 1874. The label states a volume of 26 ½ fl. oz., uniquely a bottle that specifically created for Commonwealth export markets such as Canada or the UK during the mid-20th century, before the later standardization of 700 ml bottles. This is further reinforced by the fact that there is an export inspector sticker displaying “Liquor Control – Board of Ontario” label with a reference number of “LB376366”. The bottle has all its seals intact as well as an excellent fill level resting comfortably at the upper neck, shoulder area, making it absolutely a prime candidate for luxury collectors. Additionally, Distilled Spirits stop aging once they enter glass or crystal. As the cork remains tightly intact and is stored standing completely upright, the liquid inside has remained flawlessly preserved. Bottle is in excellent display shape as well for its vintage age, free of any major label ware or tearing. Not aware is this originally came with a presentation box or with a crystal stopper but this lot is for an item that is sealed bottle only. Bottle measures 8.5” H x 7” W.
