Two Japanese export silver novelty spoons featuring a geisha handled caddy spoon with a parasol engraved bowl and a pierced dragon sifter spoon with a shell bowl and enameled terminal. The geisha spoon is marked Sterling 950 on the reverse, while the dragon spoon is marked Sterling. The smaller spoon is 4.5 inches long and the second is 5.25 inches long, with a combined weight of 1.265 OZT.Both spoons exhibit a rich, expected tarnish consistent with age (photos 1, 7). The enamel on the dragon spoon handle shows minor areas of loss and wear to the lower scrolls (photo 9). Surface scratches are present from handling.
