This pair of silver decorative spoons features elaborate maritime and landscape motifs. The taller serving spoon displays a galleon finial and a pierced bowl depicting a Dutch scene, marked on the reverse with 80, STERLING, and pseudo-hallmarks including two lions rampant. The smaller bonbon spoon features a vessel finial above a bowl pierced with birds and is tested as silver. The taller spoon is 6 inches, the smaller is 4.5 inches, and the total weight is 2.12ozt.Both pieces exhibit expected surface tarnish and a dark patina throughout (Photo 1). A visible solder join is present where the long spoon stem meets the bowl (Photo 5). The delicate pierced work remains intact with no visible breaks.
