Featuring classical British heraldic motifs, this decorative wall shadowbox houses a openwork cast metal medallion depicting a crowned lion rampant and a unicorn supporter centered beneath a royal crown and resting above a smaller crown base. The circular badge is framed by a rope-twist border and set against a soft gold-toned velvet. It is presented in a deep, distressed gilt-and-brown wooden frame, with the reverse displaying a paper dust cover stamped FRAME 11 PRINT M and fitted with a sawtooth hanging bracket. The frame measures 8.75 x 8.75 inches and the medallion is 3.5 inches diameter. This example presents in good vintage condition, showing intentional antiqued patina to the metal emblem, light edge scuffs and finish wear on the molded frame, and minor tearing to the paper backing on the reverse.
