Dating to the post-WWII era, this dark navy blue wool tunic features four front cargo pockets with scalloped flaps, pebble-finish silver-tone metal buttons, and built-in shoulder loops for rank board placement. Constructed in a four-button single-breasted layout with an open lapel collar, the tunic presents an unbadged West German police, municipal service, or fire official design. The interior is fully lined with smooth dark fabric and includes standard internal slash breast pockets. Constructed of heavy wool fabric with intact stitching and secure original hardware throughout. Displays light surface wear, minor linting, and a small area of surface fabric loss near the upper back seam; jacket measures 18 inches shoulder-to-shoulder, 21 inches across the chest, and 29 inches in overall length. The right shoulder is missing the pebbled button to close the epilette. This clean, unbadged dark wool tunic offers excellent display potential for collectors of Cold War European civil service uniforms, insignia restoration, or theatrical wardrobe setups.
