This tailored West German civil forestry wool uniform tunic features a dark green collar, hidden front button placket, and dual slanted hip flap pockets manufactured by A. Kronenberg of Oldenstadt-Uelzen. Interior tailoring includes a silk-like lining with a mid-20th-century woven maker's label reading "A. Kronenberg Seit: 1860 Uniform-Ausstatter" along with a post-war commercial tailor tag handwritten to "Mortzfeld" with commission code "11.343." The jacket retains its original "Steinnussknöpfe" (tagua nut) carved buttons typical of German forestry and hunting service apparel. Constructed of finely woven green wool fabric with post-war rayon lining showing minimal wear. Displays minor fabric wear, a small moth nib near the back collar seam, and minor fraying along the internal paper tag edge; jacket measures 17 inches shoulder-to-shoulder, 20 inches across the chest, 24 inches in sleeve length, and 25 inches in total length. Dating to the post-WWII era, this finely crafted forestry jacket presents well with traditional West German commercial tailoring details, making it an excellent piece for European civil service or militaria displays.
