This hardcover album, produced by Cigaretten-Bilderdienst and Reichssportverlag in Berlin, is Volume II of the official 1936 Olympic Games documentation. Featuring a blue cloth binding with German-language titles and the Olympic bell motif stamped on the cover, the album was published in 1936 to commemorate the XI Olympiad. The interior includes numerous original photographic cigarette cards, each accompanied by descriptive text in German. Cards and text capture a detailed record of the games, showcasing athletes, ceremonies, venues, and the broader event atmosphere, including athletes such as Jesse Owens and Luz Long. The album measures 12.5 by 9.5 inches. The cover shows edge wear, scuffing, and fraying with some fabric loss, especially to the corners and spine. Pages exhibit light age toning and clean surfaces, with cards remaining well preserved and binding sound. GE/SW
