This pair of German 6x30 Dienstglas military binoculars dates to World War II and was produced by Hensoldt Werk in Herborn, identified by the ordnance code 'bek' stamped on the upper prism cover plate alongside markings for 'Dienstglas 6x30', serial number '21244', reticle unit designation 'H/6400', and cold-climate grease mark 'KF' (Kältestarrfett). The binoculars measure 4.25 inches high by 6.5 inches wide (10.8 cm H x 16.5 cm W) and weigh 403 grams (14.2 oz). The binoculars feature black metal end plates, a textured wrap, and a leather neck strap attached to the side body loops. Mechanically, the frame maintains smooth central hinge pivot and diopter adjustments. Viewing performance is clear with the internal reticle grid visible, though internal lens hazing is present in the left channel. Original finish remains on the body and stampings, with paint touch-up visible on the metal housing.
