2 Pieces by Joan Miro (Spanish, 1893-1983), Two Lithographs from Oiseau Solaire, Oiseau Lunaire, Etincelles (1967). Collection of two color lithographs on sandpaper after Joan Miro from the celebrated 1967 publication Oiseau Solaire, Oiseau Lunaire, Etincelles, issued by Pierre Matisse Gallery, New York. Printed on Arches paper, these vibrant compositions reproduce Miro's iconic visual language of bold organic forms, expressive black calligraphic lines, brilliant color fields, and whimsical symbolic imagery. The portfolio accompanied an important exhibition of Miro's paintings, sculptures, and graphic works, documenting one of the artist's most inventive and celebrated creative periods. Each sheet bears a Miro signature within the image. Condition: Overall very good vintage condition with light age toning and minor handling wear consistent with age. Colors remain bright and well-saturated. Minor edge wear and gentle waviness from age and storage are present, with no significant tears, stains, or losses observed from the images provided. Attractive examples printed on desirable Arches paper, suitable for framing or addition to a modern art collection. Approximate measurements 5 5/8" x 12 3/8".
