3 pc Joan Miro (Spanish, 1893–1983), Two Lithographs and Original Cover from Oiseau Solaire, Oiseau Lunaire, Etincelles (1967). Collection of two color lithographs together with the original pictorial cover from Oiseau Solaire, Oiseau Lunaire, Etincelles, published in conjunction with Joan Miro's landmark 1967 exhibition at the Pierre Matisse Gallery, New York. Printed on Arches paper, the lithographs reproduce Miro's celebrated imagery of bold black forms, brilliant primary colors, celestial symbols, and expressive calligraphic linework. Included is the original exhibition cover featuring one of Miro's most recognizable abstract compositions, as well as the title and edition pages identifying the publication and noting this example as Copy No. 20 from the regular edition of 1,200 copies printed on velin d'Arches. The publication was produced by Daniel Jacomet, with typography by Fequet et Baudier, and accompanied Miro's important exhibition Oiseau Solaire, Oiseau Lunaire, Etincelles at the Pierre Matisse Gallery. Condition: Overall very good vintage condition with light age toning, soft handling wear, and minor edge wear consistent with age and portfolio storage. The lithographs retain strong, vibrant color with no significant tears or losses observed. The cover and title pages exhibit expected light toning and gentle handling wear. A desirable grouping from one of Miro's most sought-after exhibition publications, ideal for collectors of modern printmaking and exhibition ephemera. Single sheet measures 9.5" x 12.5", trifold measures 27 5/8" x 12".
