Joan Miro (Spanish, 1893-1983) 4 Piece Double-Sided Lithographs from A Toute Epreuve (1958) Group of four double-sided color lithographs from the celebrated 1958 publication A Toute Epreuve by Joan Miro, created in collaboration with French poet Paul Eluard. Each sheet features Miro's iconic Surrealist imagery rendered in bold primary colors, expressive black line, and biomorphic forms, with selected versos incorporating French text from Eluard's poem. Published after Miro's original illustrations, the compositions exemplify the artist's masterful integration of abstract symbolism, spontaneous gesture, and poetic visual language. Each is signed in graphite lower right. An exceptional group representing one of the most important artist's books of the twentieth century and Miro's enduring contribution to modern graphic art. Excellent condition for age with toning to paper. Each measure 9.75" x 12.5".
