Black glass dark olive green round shape onion wine bottle. Unembossed. Sand chip pontiled base. With applied string lip. English. Circa 1695 to 1700. This example was recovered from the York River in Virginia. Condition is water found with surface devitrification and scratching, and there is barnacle residue, and there is a 1/4 inch chip to the string rim and a pinhead size chip to the string rim. Measures approximately 5 5/8 inches wide x 5 3/4 inches tall.
