Black glass dark olive green round pancake shape onion wine bottle. Unembossed. Sand chip pontiled base. With applied string lip. English. Circa 1700 to 1705. This example was recovered from the York River in Virginia. Condition is water found with surface devitrification and scratching, and there is barnacle residue, and 70% of the string rim is chipped off with a large flat chip also extending onto the neck. Measures approximately 6 inches wide x 6 1/8 inches tall.
