Assortment of documents related to postwar occupied Germany, reflecting the administrative challenges of the era. Included are multiple refugee identification cards issued in the British Zone and Lower Saxony, a postwar refugee booklet, and a political broadside associated with the Deutsche Rechtspartei. There is also a prisoner-of-war letter sent from Russian captivity in 1947, written in German and addressed to Austria, along with Soviet Red Cross markings. Numerous ration stamp sheets are present, covering basic foodstuffs such as bread, butter, and other essentials, some still in large uncut blocks. Most documents display period-specific stamps, signatures, and handwriting, providing a tangible link to the daily realities faced by displaced individuals in occupied Germany. Paper shows typical period wear and aging.
