Large assortment of World War I and interwar period ration stamps for various foods and household goods, primarily from the city of Erlangen in Bavaria. Included are numerous individual stamps in multiple denominations and colors, along with ration stamp booklets originally intended to contain a selection of these stamps. The documents date mainly to the era of the Kingdom of Bavaria and the subsequent Weimar Republic. Notable visible markings reflect their use for controlled distribution duringsignificant periods of scarcity. The paper shows period-typical aging and handwriting annotations consistent with administrative rationing processes.
