This lot is a high-quality German-made reproduction (1970's) of an Imperial German military reservist stein created to commemorate the 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Battalion, from Munich, with service dates 1899–1901. The porcelain body is colorfully decorated with detailed scenes of horse-drawn artillery, cannon crews, soldiers, and barracks. It includes a printed roster listing artillerymen and an inscription reading "Erinnerung an meine Dienstzeit," translating to “In remembranceof my military service.” The stein features raised green rope-style borders. The ornate pewter-tone hinged lid is engraved and features a field cannon finial and a Bavarian lion-form thumb lift. The base is marked “Made in Germany.” This is awell-executed reproduction, not an original service stein. The item is in good condition as observed.
