World War II German military hard-shell leather dispatch satchel (Meldetasche or Nachrichtentasche), produced between 1933 and 1945 for signal, dispatch, and administrative personnel. Constructed from heavy black leather with prominent contrast heavystitching, the satchel features a fold-over top flap secured by a front leather closure strap and metal buckle. The reverse side is equipped with two riveted leather belt loops fitted with steel D-rings for integration with standard Y-straps or beltequipment. The structured interior includes original internal divider sleeves and tool/pencil loops for organizing official documents and communications gear. Measuring 8.5 inches high by 8.0 inches wide and 3.0 inches deep, the satchel is in overall very good condition, displaying minor surface scuffing, edge wear, and light hardware patina.
