ca. Record dated 1789; Framed in a fine modern era grain painted frame, the printed-form Tauf-schein record was printed for Henrich Otto at the Ephrata Cloister. The block printed design includes watercolor accented parrots and long-neck birds on floral stems and a floral design heading. The textbox containers type-set printed German dialect with ink infill done in old German script. The scrivener-work is only penmanship without Fraktur writing. The watercolor infill is attributed to Henrich/Heinrich Otto (active 1766-1799). The free-flowing (yet precise form) scrivener-work is believed to be by Henrich Otto recording Catharina Bory, born June 21st. 1789, in Cumru Twp., Berks Co. Pa. She was the daughter of Johannes & Susanna (?) Bory; frame 20 1/8" x 16 7/8"; Condition: Professionally framed in modern grain painted frame. Extensive folding and creasing with some separation that has been stabilized from the reverse. The heading is partially covered by matting, unknown if has been cut-down (???) The infill is old German script that is difficult to translate, but information is believed to be correct.
