ca. mid-late 19th century; Unknown maker, mahogany wood cased double-hung window display. Each mahogany sash is two-panel or two light design set into a slat held sliding track. The casement has a dovetailed top and slotted screw set bottom. The sash finely crafted with mortise and tenon constructed stiles and mullions and appears to have had a push-peg "keeper" to lock sash in place; 9 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 16"; Condition: Although unsigned, the Andersen window concept of cased windows being delivered to a building site in one piece was popular by 1908. This design possibly pre-dates that design. This window design has no counter-weight or spring-assisted sash movement. The peg keepers are damaged. The exterior portion of casement has place for mounting a butt-hinge. The display possibly originally had a trade advertising door that was removed.
