ca. 1790's; Signed "I. Iobson" attributed to James Jobson working in Alexandria, VA and later Philadelphia, PA, traditional copper dovetail constructed ball shaped tea kettle with rivet-set gooseneck spout, domed lid with brass knob and signed arched swing handle copper pin-hinged on riveted flange mount.; 8 3/4" dia. X 13 1/2" x 7 1/4' H; Condition: includes some copied documents on James Jobson with partial listed trade advertisements. The rivets on spout mount are not copper; deterioration with one hole at one spot (possibly not original rivets), minor creasing to edge of lid and minor dents to body of kettle
