ca. Late 19th century; Lancaster County paint decorated lidded footed saffron cup attributed to turning by William Carl Heilig and painted by Joseph Lehn. The large size saffron cup has a three-color flute-turned foot, salmon ground vessel with hand painted pussy-willow sprigs, tight-seated lid with similar decoration and a blue painted round knob; 2 3/4' dia. X 6"H; [Provenance: purchased at Horst Auction Center 2006]; Condition: shows wear from use. Missing applied decals, paint crackling to foot and one small chip.
